1940 (Jun 11) Plain envelope by airmail to Hull bearing Straits Settlement 50c & 5c tied Field Post Office /S.P. 502 cds located at Penang & with Tombstone From H.M. Ship /Passed By Censor handstamp in red with manuscript censors initials inserted ……………FPO S.P. 501 to S.P. 506 datestamps were issued to British, Indian & Malayan units and their mail was handled by the local Army Postal Service which continued to handle RAF & Naval mail after the Indian A.P.S. took over the Army correspondence.
