A scarce double censored item with Instructional mark…Rome was taken by Allied forces on 4 June 1944 & as German forces were still active in Northern Italy & fighting continued in France with Paris not being liberated until later in August there were no Air Mail facilities for civilians from nuetral Ireland at this time
