1905 (Oct 19) Coloured picture postcard of Japanese Geisha girl to Berlin bearing Kiautschou 2c tied Kais.Deutsche /Marine /Schiffspost /No 21 allocated to S.M.S. Leipzig as part of te East Asian Squdadron looking after German interests in the area.

Later on 1 Nov 1914 SMS Leipzig took part in the defeat of the British Naval force at the battle of Coronel where the British lost HMS Good Hope & Monmouth together with 1500+ sailors however on the 8 Dec at the Battle of Falkland Islands she was chased down by HMS Glasgow who opened fire, got hit by Leipzig & withdrew leaving HMS Cornwall & Kent to batter her remorsely until Capt. Haun scuttled his ship
