SHIPS (14 Oct) & with black handstruck 1½d with 1d & ½d Postage Dues tied Portsmouth (16 Oct)cds & on reverse wo strikes of blue unframed standard 52 x 3mm PASSED BY CENSOR .(Daynes 604) with ink JMR inserted between Censor strikes …….Presumably the Portsmouth Postmaster did not notice the censor on the reverse that acted as free of postage concession & thus taxed it
