1840 (Jan 30) Stampless Cross-written folded Entire to Mrs Gillespie without Postal markings & with tears not visually apparent from Captain Gillespie, 4th Dragoons presumably carried by a returning friend and delivered by hand with manuscript note received 13 March. Typed transcript of the entire letter is included in which he states “I left the Army of the Indus at Bukkhur on the 7th inst. travelled down the Indus 500 miles, took boat at the mouth of the said river and landed on the Apollo Bundar at 4 P.M. on the 28th”………Historically interesting
