1944(May 19) Thai printed POW card with coffee stain top right on white very thin card issued to prisoners during 1944 & addressed to Mrs S. Hijmans, Sourabaja, Java from a Dutch POW in No 3 POW Camp formally at Nieke but by this date with the railway completed all but a skeleton crew remained on the Burma side the bulk had in December 1943 combined with Group 5 at Tamarkan, Thailand. This is the 2nd of the 1944 cards with dot after the W of P.O.W. & is censored by Tsunoda with his oval Orange chop, On arrival at Java it received a violet framed NO RECORD / IN JAVA POW & INTERNEES CAMPS & was returned with blue ink Retour Aug 45 in N.P. Camps & has pencil N.Patn & presumably on to Tamarkan ….This card is illustrated by Tett on page 91 of his comprehensive book
