1918(Mar 22) GB Military 2d black Registered envelope to Chatham, Kent cancelled B.A.P.O. K located Kantara with pencil “Torpedoed” with a little shrinkage at edges & water damaged triangular Censor on reverse..S.S. Kingstonian sailing with men, equipment & supplies including a large quantity of mail loaded from Palestine & Egypt was on 11 April torpedoed & limped into Carlo Forte Bay, S. Pietro Is. off Sardinia beached herself & salvaged what was possible but the vessel was doomed.
