1918(Jan 24) Envelope with 70% back flap gone & some foxing from merchants to Bimbasha G.E.S. Woodyatt, (Lancashire Fusiliers) who had been seconded to 2nd Battalion, Egyptian Army, E.E.F. bearing Sudan 5m tied Khartoum cds & first transiting Cairo (28 Jan) cds (on reverse) & directed from there to Abu Zenima (on the west coast of Sinai peninsula) via B.A. P.O. K (30 Jan) cds & with violet triangular PASSED / BY /CENSOR / SUDAN with 6 in centre….The Sinai garrison’s (2) of Abu Zenima came under 1 Section Canal Defences & in December 1917 each comprised 100 men, 2 Egyptian & 1 British Officer from 2nd Battalion, Egyptian Army….mail is rare ex Alistair Kennedy
