1935 Plain stampless envelope to Liore cancelled circular Marine Francaise /Service a La Mer with Anchor in centre & with unframed Canonniere Flotille “Balny” hand stamps both in violet of French Navy & red brown boxed Franchise /Miltaire hand stamp with below blue crayon manuscript 19 Feuver 1935 probably applied on arrival & with on reverse unframed violet Forces navaies en Extreme-Orient /Flottilla du Yang-Ts-Kiang /Canonniere Fluviale “Balny”…………….Canonniere “Balny” was designed & built for service on the Yanztse river which she did until laid up at Chungking in 1940 & later scrapped in 1944
