N:o 348 label & on reverse Milan [10 Dec] arrival ……………………. On 30 Nov 1939 Russia invaded Finland without warning or declaration of war & volunteers from various countries went to the aid of Finland who capitulated to the Russian Army on 12 March 1940. Only a handful of Italian volunteers were present on the side of the Finns & mail is very rare with this being exceptional quality.
