1864(May 25)Plain stampless env to his wife at Ulysses PA endorsed Soldiers letter c/w letter written by civil war soldier in Hammond General Hospital cancelled Point Lookout MD Bulls eye d/s w/interesting content “I thought that I would rite and let you know that I am alive and well all but my arm and that is going slowly. I have been here eleven days, I am in a nice place and they take the best of care that anyone can ask for. I got wounded on the raid to Richmond, I was wounded on the 12 May”……………….Scarce letter from civil war soldier whilst in Hospital.
