Bach, Royal Canadians, Army pay Office, Pretoria bearing Transvaal pair ½d overprinted V.R.I. tied Pretoria /Z.A.R. cds with alongside Field Post Office /36 /British Army S. Africa (18 Aug) arrival cds used at APO 1 ………….According to Proud after July 1900 this was only used on Registered Mail & closed by 1 Aug 1901 but this shows it was clearly used on local mail from civil offices to a member of the Canadian contingent
