Kilpatrick crested paper bearing Gibraltar 2½d tied Gibraltar A26 duplex & on reverse transit (1 Dec) cds & Brooklyn (2 Dec) arrival cds….The Kilpatrick en-route Manila, Philippines after the Spanish American war ending 13 Aug 1898 US forces occupy Philippines, insurrections commence lasting to 4 July 1902 but on Mindanao continue to 1913… Letter mentions making a good run 11 days 14 hours & beating the Bufford by 2 days to Gib.
