1904(Oct)[37.10.25.] Pictorial Military Lettersheet showing “Crossed Flags” written shortly after “Battle of Sha-ho” to Japan from Japanese 1st Army soldier in Manchuria cancelled vernacular 1st Army FPO No 8 with unframed red Military Mail & boxed brown Japanese hand stamps with on reverse vernacular cds with year & month removed….At the battle of Sha-ho that took place 7 -20 October which was won by the Japanese with losses on both sides with the Japanese sustaining 1608 killed & 6405 wounded out of 16394 & the Russians losing a huge 5084 killed, 30392 wounded & 5875 missing or taken POW
