1906 (Apr 10) Plain stampless envelope together with letter written 10 Apr to Wolfisheim ( a commune in Bas-Rhin department of Alsace, Northern France) from German soldier endorsed “Feldpost” & cancelled Luderitzbucht cds with at bottom left violet circular Soldatenbrief /Stempel /Etappe /Luderitzbucht unit hand stamp ……..The Herero war was caused by the German colonists taking chunks of land without consideration to the Herero native’s and lasted from 1904- 08 with a German victory and the wholesale slaughter of natives.
