Namur surrendered to the Germans on 24 Aug 1914 and by the 14 Nov when this card was written the battle of Ypres in late October had weakened the British forces to the extent that defence’s began to crumble but during the period Mid October to Early November the German 4th Army had lost 52,000 men but still continued to push towards France.
