1914 (Sep 28) Stampless black & white picture postcard entitled Grusse Von Samoa to Kaiwarra N.Z. endorsed On Active Service & cancelled faint yet readable APIA / SAMOA cds…. During the first action of WW1 by N.Z. forces on 29-30 August 1914 the N.Z. Epeditionary Force landed & took possession of Samoa remaining until 1915 although Col. P Logan did continue to administer Samoa on behalf of the N.Z. Govt. until 1919.
