1915 Plain stampless envelope OAS to Lady Bomford, Dover & forwarded to London with violet circular PASSED BY SHIPS CENSOR (Gould 6C3) of HMS Ark Royal based at Tenedos Island with on reverse red London/Paid/Mar29 15 five wavy lined (29 Mar) UK arrival & face with Dover / 4 (30 Mar) forwarding cds………..HMS Ark Royal was ordered to the Mediterranean in Jan 1915 arriving Tenedos Is. 17 Feb 15 & promptly started to reconnoitre the Dardanelles Straits & attack new fortifications, later she was involved in supporting the 25 April landings of the Australian & N.Z. forces at Anzac beach for the Gallipoli campaign., see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Ark_Royal_(1914)
