Frankfurt bearing Italy 2 x marginal pairs 2c + single 10c & strip 3 x 5c with one 5c torn away & removed tied Lecce /Raccomanda cds & with black unframed R /No. /Lecce hand stamp with manuscript 12 inserted & violet unframed Non Admis /A L’Envoyeur & on reverse Bologna Posta Estera /Racc – Ass (6 Jun) + Lecce /Raccomanda (8 Jun) cds ……..Italy declared war on Austro – Hungary on 23 May 15 but did not declare war on Germany till 28 Aug 15 thus this was technically neutral mail but Germany had placed restrictions on mail with Italy & registered mail was included within these restrictions….One 5c adhesive is missing
