1917(Sep 19) Envelope with back flap missing bearing GV 1d tied Leominster cds to Pte W.A. Taugue, 1/1 Herefordshire Regt with on reverse FPO 158 (6 Oct) arrival cds. With this unit being involved in the third battle of Gaza to the North of Beersheba from 27 Oct 17 this letter was not received by Pte Taugue, by the time it reached his Unit he had been K.I.A. Marked with violet framed R.E. (S.R) /A.P.S.) & endorsed in red ink iKilled in Action & subsequently verified by the record office at Shrewsbury….Ex Alistair Kennedy
