1918(Nov 8) PPC Marseille with, pencil annotation Camp Musre to Leicester cancelled APO S. 55 (9 Nov) cds & with oblong Censor 5518…The writer wrote regularly several times a week to his girlfriend from Italy 1917 to at least July 1919. Marseille was a major Port housing supply & logistic stores & equipment & I have no doubt that Camp Musre was a storage & supply depot..This is the only card in a substantial part of his correspondence that I have seen, although others have probably survived.
