102nd landed Southampton 10 Oct 1917 & exactly one week later at Le Havre. On 20 April 1918, C & D companies fought at Seicheprey, Toul in Northern France where 81 men from Hartford & New Haven perished, a memorial service at Elm city was held annual until the 1980’s when the last doughboy died.
