1918 (May 25) A.F.A. 2042./114/Gen. No./5248 FIELD SERVICE POST CARD (Imprinted (93509) Wt..W3497-293 n,250m. 4/16 J.J.K. & Co., Ltd. to Pte. H.T. Booty, RMLI, HMS Erin & re-directed to Hobart St., Plymouth. Cancelled London Received from H.M. Ship / No Charge to be made & with lozenge PASSED / BY / CENSOR / 0240 with Crown in centre, A known censor mark used by R.M.L.I. forces on Mudros …….Obviously an attempt to find him but sadly he had been transferred over 2 years previously to HMS Defence prior to the battle of Jutland where he died on 31 May 1916 when HMS was sunk with all hands lost.
