1918(Dec 5) Plain stampless envelope marked Officers Mail together with self censored letter to Lincoln, California from Lieut. I.W. Galehouse, 8th Aviation Inst. Cr., A.E.F. with violet circular A.E.F.PASSED AS CENSORED / A. 900 (Type C-2 New type 3.2) & on reverse ink Rec’d Jun 28 -18 (must be amistake for Jan)……..The US Aviation Instruction Detachment was established at Foggia by January 1918 & it seems still operational albeit with a slightly diffferent designation after the Armistice of 5 Nov1918 a scarce item.
