1918(Aug 22) Plain stampless envelope to Huntingdon c/w 2 letters dated 22 & 30 August one headed “Syren” North Russia Exped. Force [1st letter says No mails yet, although the Marines receive regularly via the Navy….Getting supply Ordnance dump into good order & 30th letter says got 1st mails on 27th at this station ( which of course was Murmansk] cancelled oval X12 h/s & self Censored F.G. Marsh, Col. Gen. Staff 22/8/18…………………………… [No FPO arrived until 28th Sept & early mail prior to arrival of FPO is scarce]
