The 2nd with manuscript Formally Prisoner of War at Rastatt Ger, crossed thru in red ink and manuscript Deceased in same red ink & with black boxed Deceased Verified by /Statistical Division H. A.E.F. handstamp………………… Cpl Charles T. Beckwith, 165th Inf. Regt. 42nd Div. a former POW interned in Rastatt POW Camp died 18 Nov 1918 & is buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne France.
