Description

1919(May 5) Stampless envelope to Bournemouth, Hamps cancelled the short lived British Mission Post Office / Vladivostok (recorded by Proud 21 May – 18 Aug 1919) & normally a very poor & unclear strike. As well as serving the Mission in Vladivostok it took care of the bagged mail from the 9th Bn. Hampshire Regt. who were over 2,000 miles west fighting on the front in the Omsk area & this item extends Proud’s ERD by 16 days..
