1936(Dec 10) Envelope bearing EDV111 1½d tied Bournemouth Post Early slogan cancel (day the King Abdicated) to Col. H.B. Scott c/o Thomas Cook & Sons, Rangoon, Burma. On arrival India 17 Jan 1937 Railway TPO L-9 Set 3 applied. The addressee the proves difficult to locate as he went back to India before returning to England on leave. Many red ink annotations & a melee of instructional marks plus multiple re-directional postmarks are present before it is finally delivered to him at Cooks in Rangoon on 6 Dec 1938…….Almost 12 months in transit with a brief overview & listing of transit Post Offices & redirectional Post Offices supplied from the original exhibit sheet.
