Germany deployed 3 Panzerschiff (Armoured Ships) to Spanish waters as part of the Non Intervention patrols during the Spanish civil war, these were Panzerschiff Deutschland, Admiral Scheer & Admiral Graf Spee & this is almost certainly from one f these vessels
