Onchan Camp was located within a group of boarding houses on Royal Avenue & others overlooking Douglas Bay opened June 1940 initially holding mostly German & Ausrians who were transferred during June 1941 to Hutchinson Camp to make room for Italians, so relatively short lived this period.
