1942 – 45 very scarce stampless Japanese Naval card from Shingo Yamazaki, Miwa Naval Unit Hong Kong c/o Sasebo P.O. to Tozan Sato, Kanakura, Heion Village, Shimotakai Gun, Nagano Pref. The card with printed Military Mail (as the Naval force was subordinate to the Army in H.K.) & below framed Censored with Censors chops of Matsumoto & Miwa…. Hong Kong was a significant Japanese Military & Naval logistics supply base for forward Japanese forces & also an important Repair Base under Japanese Military Administration. From the text of the message the card was written during the rain season (May – August) & perhaps in 1943 as the writer says the Enemy (US & British) continue to attack & bomb us more than ever…
