1943(May 18)Stampless P.P.C. of St. Augustine Church Alger to Bakengates, Salop from 925033 LAC Sayer, RAF cancelled FPO 583 (20 May) cds alondside cogwheel RAF CENSOR 497 (type R14)….Colley records RAF Censor 497 located 28 Nov 43 – 31 Mar 44 at RAF Maison Blanche (now Algeria’s International Airport) which was at the time a huge RAF Maintenance Unit piecing together repaired & damaged aircraft……..This item written 18th & posted 20th May 1943 predates the EKD by 6 months & has ink Rec’d 9 Jun 43………A neat item
