Flowers are blooming in this pleasureless island. Every day I hear noisey sound of dynamite, I am accostomed to sleep in trousers and to live in hot climate, but I want to return as soon as I can. Enemy is busy in Solomons over the sea in the full moon and we can take a rest for the time being. According to the telegraph Palik Papan, Hong Kong & Surabaya were air raided. We can’t live peacefully in any place, at such places there is no escape hole, it seems that they are anxious”……Envelopes & letters from Japanese soldiers are rare.
