1943 (Dec 3) Stampless envelope to Aichi Pref. c/w long interesting letter written on 3 December 1943 & marked letter 39 by soldier, U68 U66 c/o Yokosuka Post Office with Censor hand stamp & self censored with orange circuular chop of Hashiba who states “There is no problem here as you can see in newspapers. As there is a despatch today I write you. I speak words for god. I’m going to return next spring. Please ask again to Colonel Makita, telling him that my life may end unless I return” ………………..Envelopes are rare from Japanese occupation forces & this Informative letter with clear suicidal intentions relates to the hardships these soldiers endured on Nauru and is historically important
