F. with boxed Censored hand stamp with oval orange chop of Noguchi inserted & additionally censored with oval chop of Isoaki & endorsed “Arrived 4th Oct Showa 18th year” = 1943 …………The 18th Japanese Naval Army was activated on 7 August 1943 to take over from the 17th Army in Eastern New Guinea & this was written during the period of the US counter offensive shortly after his arrival
