1944(Aug 18)[18.8.19] Reply portion of Military Star post card from soldier with “Mori” 7006 Unit Burma EF wIith boxed Censor & rare unframed manuscript “KO KU” for Airmail to his wife in Shikamoto-Gun Kumamoto Pref. arriving 17 Jan 45…….These Reply portions of military postcards, free and prepaid were occassionally sent airmail only when space & weight permitted this. …At this time the Japanese were retreating from the major battle around Imphal & although this item is marked KO KU the arrival date suggests it did not travel by airmail
