Maltby, HQ 246 Wing RAF, East Africa bearing KUT 20c & 5c tied partial E.A. / A.P.O. (Number & Date are not clear) & self censored with violet framed Wings / R.A.F. / CENSOR / 104 (Type R 11)………Other mail from the same period shows that Maltby served with 265 Sqn RAF headquartered at Diego Suarez, Madagascar from 30 Mar 1943 until disbanded on 30 Apr 1945 & the text does make reference to the Island…Colley in RAF Censorship records the LKD for R11 / 104 as 28 Dec 1943…this extends that date by almost 7 months to 15 Jul 1944
