1945 (Oct 30) Small fragment of envelope bearing Cyprus 2 piastre tied partial Nicosia cds overstruck by FPO 141 (1 Nov) cds ……. According to Proud FPO 141 was allocated to Middle East A.F.P.U. on 4 June 1941 & use in that theatre is recorded in various locations up to 25 October 1945. From 26 Oct to 2 Dec 1945 no use has been seen or location determined until used at Beirut, Lebanon from 3 Dec 45….This use on a Cypriot adhesive dated 1 Nov 1945 seems to suggest use in Cyprus during this missing & mysterious period of 26 Oct -2 Dec 1945
