1945(Feb 8) Plain stampless env to Cape St. Mary’s, Gambia cancelled Ilesha/Nigeria & w/on rev Lagos [10 Feb] transit d/s. On arrival Gambia forwarded to Glasgow w/plain white address label tied FPO 109 located at Bathurst & w/Crown over Shield Censor 7128 h/s in violet………….I have no explanation as to why this interesting item should have been allowed through the mails twice without payment or any form of taxation.
