1945 (May 12) Improvised envelope made from larger one used twice first addressed in Arabic script bearing Thai Occupation of Malaya War Memorial 8c (SG TM 5) tied unclear cds possibly (12 May) with address & adhesive deleted by red ink cross & with on other side re-used to Kulim from Registar of Islamic Schools, Syburi & with another War memorial 8c affixed tied Alor Star /Kedah (21 Jun) cds (Proud D 15) …….On the 18 October 1943 Japan ceded the 4 Northern States of Kelantan, Perlis, Kedah & Trengganu to Thailand with the Thai’s issueing the first stamps on 15 Nov 1943. This leaves a small window of less than 2 years of use before the surrender & restoration of British rule…All mail is rare & this is a rare example of a twice used cover Ex Milo Rowell & Jay Sirirattumrong
