1948 (Nov 23) & 2 x 1949 (Jan 5) Trio of Stampless airmail envelopes to Salin De Giraud endorsed on reverse from soldier LCM 22 F.A.I.S. P.N.F. with the first (23 Nov) cancelled single ring Poste Navale cds whilst on Transport enroute & a little roughly opened with the other 2 tied Poste Aux Armees/TOE (5 Jan 1949) cds after arrival. Prior to WW2 Indo-Chine (Today Viet- Nam, Cambodia & Laos) was a French Colony & garrisoned by French troops. . The Japanese had their own expansion plans & had been waging war since 1937 commenced in China & working South & by mid 1941 were in total control of the French colony. The Vichy French troops were allowed to remain yet they were nothing more than puppets of the Japanese until the spring of 1945 when the Japanese interned them..
