1943 (May 3) Hanshraj Thakardas General Merchants printed envelope to Somalia Trading Co., Mombasa bearing GB 5d Overprinted E.A.F. tied Mogadiscio cds in blue & with Opened By Censor label (Henning EAL 200) + scarce violet circular Passed /E.A. / Base /Censor (Henning EA B6) & with E.A. APO 86 (28 May) arrival cds with on reverse small violet A 17 within circle ……….. ………………… It seems that this item which likely went by sea & would have been landed at Mombasa was sent to the Base at Nairobi for examination evidenced by the Censor label, Base Censor mark & small A 17 which is only known on items handled by the Base Censor
