A failed attempt to create a philatelic inspired item during United Nations Temporary Executive Authority (U.N.T.E.A.) was the result of a dispute between the recent Independent Indonesia & the Netherlands where Indonesia claimed the territory while the Dutch claimed the residents were not Indonesian. In December 1961 Indonesia landed paratroops that ultimately led to the establishment of U.N.T.E.A. in October 1962 that lasted until 1 May 1963.
