No 808 located Deothang in South Central Bhutan ……….The Indian military have maintained a presence in Bhutan since May 1961 when a covert initial party of 5 Officers & 30 others entered Phuntsholing a border settlement at the foot of the Himalayas with the intention to travel to the high Himalayan border area with Tibet & scout the Chinese Military activities & camps easily seen from Bhutan’s highest peaks….Although India still maintains a military presence it is confined to a Military Training Team plus a separate units responsible for road maintenance, general engineering plus medical, administrative & communications .
