1972(Jan 21) envelope to Calcutta bearing Pakistan 20p overprinted in violet & tied Chittagong machine with alongside Calcutta (27 Jan) delivery cds shortly after the end of the nine month war for Independence….On the night of 25 Mar 1971 Pakistan attacked Bangladesh which was resisted by Militia, rebel forces & the populace in general & was an unpleasant war with mass murders, rape and genocide as normal daily events, however Pakistan made the mistake of attacking Indian territory on 3 December & India joined in culminating in the brief India Pakistan war with superior armaments, equipment, training & numbers Pakistan surrendered on 16 Dec 1971 thus giving Bangladesh Independence.
