1972(Jun) Envelope from Brahmanbaria with large double rimmed circular District cachet to commercial address in Dacca bearing on reverse Pakistan block 4 x 5p overprinted in violet & tied Brahmanbaria machine with alongside Dacca (20 Jun) arrival cds six months after the end of the nine month war for Independence….On the night of 25 Mar 1971 Pakistan attacked Bangladesh which was resisted by Militia, rebel forces & the populace in general & was an unpleasant war with mass murders, rape and genocide as normal daily events, however Pakistan made the mistake of attacking Indian territory on 3 December & India joined in culminating in the brief India Pakistan war with superior armaments, equipment, training & numbers Pakistan surrendered on 16 Dec 1971 thus giving Bangladesh Independence.
