PVA originally formed in 1944 by Ho Chi Minh & known as the Armed Propaganda Unit for National Liberation to drive out Japanese occupants & French colonialists & commonly called Viet Minh was by this time during the Viet- Nam war more organised, better equiped & battle hardened to eventually obtain the reunification of the country as Socialist Republic of Viet-Nam in July 1976 after the defeat of the USA in the Viet-Nam war.
