1945 (Oct 24) Stampless envelope to Pvt. N.Z. Soldier I.T.D., 2nd N.Z.E.F., M.E.F. & redirected to HQ 9. N.Z.Inf. Bde., Jap from 1717108 airman LAC Curtis cancelled RAF POST INDIA / 24 Oct 45 / 76 cds (located Kolar, a city in Karnataka State) & with on reverse N.Z. ARMY /31 OC 45 / BASE POST OFFICE cds with alongside ink Rec’d 4 Nov 1945….. After the remaining Germans in Italy surrendered 2 May 1945 some New Zealanderss concentrated at Florence as 9 N.Z. Inf. Bde named Jayfocrer eady to be part of the Combined Allied Japanese Occupation Force & landed 19 March 1946. A wonderful fore-runner of N.Z. Contribution to BCOF..Ex Startup
