Box 616, Nicosia bearing pair 2p tied Nicosia cds & with red on white Israeli Censor label tied violet framed Hebrew Censor………The uneasy truce of Jan 1949 was broken in 1951 with sporadi attacks & Killings upunil 1953 and beyond with tensions that continues to this day. Ltd, London bearing pair 1p tied Nicosia cds & with black circular vernacular Arabic censor….The State of Israel was proclaimed on the 14 May 1948 & the following day was invaded by Arab troops from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Trans-Jordan & Syria. All invaders were replulsed but war continued until 7 Jan 1949 when a cease fire was proclaimed leaving a very uneasy truce

East Africa Forces, uprated with additional 15c & 20c for Airmail & tied EA APO 2 cds with violet framed bridge style type EA 3C (53 x 22mm) PASSED / BY MILITARY /CENSOR / No. 400 …Censor handstamp type EA 3C was issued by March 1941 & with Daynes & Henning saying Numbers 351 -400 issued but only 351 – 395 are recorded yet Proud agreeing on issued numbers stays silent on which are recorded !…To my knowledge as at Jan 2024 this No 400 is a discovery item
