Irish problems commenced in 1167 when king Henry 11 invaded & after many subsequent intrusions the early 1900’s saw the Rise of Republicans and later in 1916 the Easter Rising when finally in May 1921 the partition of Ireland took place with a Northern Ireland Parliament being formed in June. Negotiations over the coming months resulted in the creation of the Irish Free State with British Commonwealth Dominion status which eventually led to full Independance in 1949.
